In the wake of a section of right-wing leaders calling for a boycott of the film, reports are coming in that Samajwadi Party has now chosen to show some support to Padukone starrer Chhapaak by watching the film at the theatres in Lucknow. According to Times Now reports, the party people are going to watch the film because their president Akhilesh Yadav has always shown his support to the acid-attack survivors. A senior SP leader said: "We are also watching the film because our president Akhilesh Yadav has always been concerned about the problems of acid-attack survivors. He, as a chief minister, had set up the Sheroes Hangout cafe in Lucknow for acid-attack survivors." This is the place where Dippy celebrated her birthday on January 5.
